Senior Year Success
The senior year is an exciting and busy time for students (and their parents)! Time management skills are essential for students to be able to manage the demands of senior coursework, participating in extracurricular activities, applying to colleges and scholarships, securing employment, and enjoying their social lives. Balance is the key to achieving your goals. Plan ahead and schedule time for each of the things you need (and want) to accomplish in order to have the most fun and productive final at South Stokes. Use the tips below and consult counselors with any questions or concerns to finish strong, Sauras!
Senior Year Timeline & Tips
At the beginning of the school year, students will receive Senior Contracts, transcripts, and graduation sheets from counselors. Check transcripts and graduation sheets and let counselors know if you have any questions. Senior Contracts indicate the courses students must pass to graduate. Students and parents should read both sides, sign and return.
The most up-to-date information about college entrance exams, scholarships, etc. will be communicated through e-mails. Be sure to give your counselor the e-mail address you will check most and check e-mail frequently to be aware of the opportunities available to seniors. Parents wishing to be added to the senior list serv should provide their preferred e-mail address to their child's counselor.
In addition to the information below about college applications, financial aid, and completing high school, be sure to check
the SENIORS page of the South Stokes website for information about senior activities like pictures, senior trip, senior t-shirts, cap & gown orders, and other senior activities.
